It all started in 1995. The feeling of snowboarding on asphalt, that's what the Loaded guys wanted to achieve. During the development of the boards, testing every conceivable axis, axis spacing and every available cover material had a significant influence. Everything was beaten down the local downhill mountain and extensively tested.
In the search for an active flex and controlled, precise steering behavior, old snowboards were soon brought into longboard form, axles and rollers were mounted and the first flexible longboards were ready. These boards have been tried and tested for a long time. The owners of Loaded took courses in materials science and were trained in the processing of composites in order to advance the idea of their own boards and their quality.
Between September 2000 and June 2002 Loaded only tested boards and, with the support of the best snowboard and skateboard developers, advanced the shapes and materials of the decks. Testing the materials became a full-time job.
The guys heard from all sides that the processing of wood and fiberglass in one product would be impossible. That made her sick, but it also drove her straight in the direction Loaded is in today. To process the finest materials with fiberglass. Loaded makes the most popular boards these days and is still driving development.
